The College of Public Health does its best to help students identify means to finance their education. Sources of support include fellowships, graduate associate positions, traineeships, scholarships, and part-time work.
Applicants with outstanding academic records who wish to be considered for the University Fellowship competition must submit their admissions application and all required documentation by January 1.
Students admitted to degree programs in the College of Public Health will be considered for Graduate Associate positions, traineeships, and scholarships controlled by the College without the necessity of any further application. Decisions are generally made in the spring for the following academic year, and most awards are made on the basis of merit.
University-based funding usually is not available for international students pursuing master's degrees and is rather limited for all master's students. However, the College of Public Health admissions staff does its best to connect new students with sources of information about possible scholarships, graduate associate (GA) positions, and other employment all over campus.
The university's location in Columbus, which is both a large city and the state capital, also offers many part-time work opportunities with health-related employers.
The College makes every effort to provide funding for PhD students through fellowship competitions and teaching associateships. There are also special funding opportunities for doctoral work related to the Center for Health Outcomes Policy and Evaluation Studies.
