Eric Lutz serves as the Program Manager for The Ohio State University’s Targeted Investment in Excellence (TIE) program for Public Health Preparedness for Infectious Diseases (PHPID). Eric is responsible for managing all PHPID administrative activities that occur across the six collaborating member colleges (Colleges of Biological Sciences; Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences; Medicine; Pharmacy; Public Health; and Veterinary Medicine) and the University. Eric joined OSU in May 2007, prior to which he worked for 15 years as an environmental health and occupational safety consultant, scientist, and entrepreneur, specializing in indoor air environments, hygiene, loss mitigation, and catastrophe response for clients throughout the United States. Eric earned his B.S. in Chemistry from OSU in 1996. He is a certified Indoor Air Quality Consultant, Six Sigma Green Belt, and a certified Infrared Thermographer. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in zoonotic and sapronotic infectious diseases at the College of Public Health, Division of Environmental Health Sciences.
