Highlights:

  • First and only accredited college of public health in Ohio.
  • College ranked 21st by US News and World Report magazine.
  • MHA program ranked in the top 12 in the country.
  • Received a $5 million grant from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to create a Public Health Preparedness Center, one of only 40 in the nation, and the only one funded in 2004.
  • Students in our master of health administration program placed in the top three in the annual Everett V. Fox Student Case Analysis and Presentation Competition every year from 2000-2005. The national competition is open to minority graduate students currently enrolled in a health administration program.
  • Columbus ranked as Top 10 Best City to Live and Work by Employment Review magazine.
  • The College of Public Health is involved in two of the Provost’s Targeted Investments in Excellence: Public Health Preparedness for Infectious Diseases; and Population and Health.
  • Since 2004, our funded research has more than tripled.
  • Our faculty has nearly doubled since 2004. This includes the recruiting of new chairs for all five divisions as well as a new associate dean for research and faculty development.
  • The university has designated Cunz Hall as the future home for the College of Public Health.
