Title: Influence of Health Confidantes on Smoking and Environmental Tobacco Smoke Exposure in Pregnancy and Postpartum (The Baby Steps study) Description: This study is testing the hypothesis that enlisting the help of a "health confidante" (a female friend or support who provides advice and support to a pregnant woman) will help pregnant smokers quit smoking and reduce their own and their baby's exposure to secondhand smoke. Title: What are the cancer-related lifestyle factors among the non-Amish in the Holmes County, Ohio Region?

Description: This study explores the association of lifestyle behaviors and cancer among non-Amish living in the rural Holmes County Region of Ohio Appalachia. Focusing on the cancer-related beliefs and behaviors of the residents of this Appalachian region is important for planning effective cancer educational programs and for comparing this population to the Amish population living in the same geographical region.
