College of Public Health making a difference

Posted 05/11/2009

The College of Public Health exceeded its participation goal in the Campus Campaign, the annual fundraising effort for faculty and staff at The Ohio State University.

Overall participation was 51% and 100% of the college's executive committee participated. The administrative unit finished with the highest participation percentage at 73%, followed by the Division of Health Services Management and Policy at 58% and Division of Epidemiology at 55%.

"CPH faculty and staff exceeded expectations and, despite the poor economy, still showed their support for the university through this campaign. It is great to have so many of our faculty and staff show such strong support for the college and for Ohio State," said David Murray, PhD, chair of the Division of Epidemiology.

By supporting the areas of the university that mean the most to them, faculty and staff make a significant impact on many of the projects, programs, research, and scholarship that make Ohio State such a great place to work, learn, and grow.

Thank you, public health!
