The Center for Public Health Practice is part of The Ohio State University’s College of Public Health and is here to provide you, your organization, and your community with tools for professional growth, strategic organizational improvements, and system-wide change.
Center staff is passionate about public health and improving the health and well-being of communities. Programs and services are designed to increase the skills of public health practitioners and to build the capacity of organizations across Ohio. Included among our areas of expertise are workforce and organizational development, adult learning, group facilitation and process design, project management, and practice-based research. The work of the Center is funded through grants and fee-for-service initiatives. We are proud to house the federally-funded Ohio Public Health Training Center (OPHTC). OPHTC is one of 37 public health training centers located across the United States funded through the Health Resources and Services Administration.
