At the foundation of our products and services are our training programs. This link contains information regarding our offerings. The majority of our training programs are supported, in part, through the Ohio Public Health Training Center; a HRSA funded project designed to address the training needs of current and future public health professionals. Additionally, all offerings are aligned with the Council on Linkages Core Competencies for Public Health Professionals.
Training Schedules and Fees
Some of our training programs are offered periodically as part of our scheduled offerings. Others may also be brought to you in your district, region, or agency; or may be offered as part of the agenda of an existing conference or event sponsored by an association, institution, health department, or community group. Fees vary depending on content, location of training, instructor, available grant support, or other special circumstances.
Continuing Education Opportunities
The Center for Public Health Practice is an approved National Commission for Health Education Credentialing multiple event provider of continuing education contact hours (CECH) for CHES/MCHES. They are also approved as a provider of CPH CE by the National Board of Public Health Examiners. Therefore, CHES/MCHES and CPH CE credit will be available for the majority of the Center’s offerings.
Application is made to the Ohio State Board of Registered Sanitarians and the Ohio Nurses Association whenever content is applicable to these audiences. The Ohio Nurses Association is accredited as an approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
