- Community Partnerships
A group of six community members serves as the PRC Community Partnerships Steering Committee. This group participates in quarterly steering committee meetings in addition to the quarterly PRC Community Partnerships Committee meetings.
The role of the steering committee is to:
- Help set the priorities, objectives, and meeting agendas for the PRC Community-Academic Partnerships Committee
- Offer information and guidance to help the Prevention Research Center develop ways for Columbus residents and Ohio State University researchers to communicate better about doing research and sharing research findings.
- Offer information and guidance to the Prevention Research Center on early childhood eating, physical activity and obesity, parenting, civic activities, and/or community health as related to living in the south side of Columbus.
- Participate in local and national presentations about community-based research or PRC research projects
