Farmers’ Market Volunteers Needed!
The College of Public Health is a co-sponsor for the Columbus Public Health Farmers’ Market. This 3-day event typically serves over 7,000 residents, providing fresh produce directly from Ohio farms through WIC vouchers and the Ohio Direction Card (food stamps).
The dates of the 2013 Farmers’ Markets are:
Thursday, July 25
Thursday, August 1
Thursday, August 8
One of the ways that our college supports the market is by providing student, faculty and staff volunteers. Individuals are needed from 9am to 1:30 pm on each of the above dates for a variety of jobs including: line control, water distribution, assisting customers with produce to their vehicles, counting customers, setting-up/tearing down, and clean-up.
Information about the Farmers’ Market can be found at the following link: http://publichealth.columbus.gov/health_rss.aspx?id=29970
If you are interested in volunteering, please email what day(s) you are available to volunteer to me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
