The Ohio State University is now in the highest tier of public research universities in the country. Research, along with education and service, is a vital part of our mission at the College of Public Health. Through innovative, interdisciplinary research we are able to better understand the forces that affect public health, and we use that knowledge to improve the health of the people of Ohio, the nation, and the world.
The College of Public Health has a diverse and dynamic research portfolio. The total amount of research funding for College faculty has been steadily increasing over the past several years. This past year our faculty were awarded over $9 million in grant funds to pursue research in areas ranging from childhood obesity prevention to the ability of certain foods to prevent cancer.
In order to provide you with easy access to research-related information, the College's research pages have been organized into four main areas:
The Office of Research at the OSU College of Public Health was created to facilitate and support the research mission of the College. I encourage you to use these research pages as a tool to learn more about our research program, and if you need more information please contact us.
