Paskett leads research on colorectal cancer

Electra Paskett, Marion N. Rowley Professor of Cancer Research in the College's Division of Epidemiology, is leading a team of researchers at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center, who are testing ways to improve colorectal cancer screening participation among patients age 50 and older who are treated within the OSU Primary Care Network.

Study: Smoking bans do not cause job losses in bars, restaurants

New public health research suggests that exempting bars from community smoking bans makes no economic difference in terms of preserving bar employment, and that even the most comprehensive clean indoor air policies do not lead to a reduction in hospitality jobs.

They're visiting places such as Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates, Sichuan Province in China and the Republic of Uganda in East Africa to learn how these and other remote areas in the world are impacted by public health threats such as limited access to quality health care.
