Dr. Patricia Klein, MPH '04
After working for Medical Vigilance Solutions, a business unit with Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, for 13 years, Patricia was promoted to Director of Pharmacovigilance and Medical Communications. In this role, she lead a team of 70 specialized nurses and pharmacists providing drug safety and medical communications services to the pharmaceutical industry. They contract with pharmaceutical companies to answer the toll free number on their product labeling, answer any medical information questions from consumers and health care professionals, and intake any adverse events to submit to regulatory agencies. The work they do helps to identify new drug safety information used to update product labels and keep the public aware and safe.
