MHA students win 2022 NAHSE Student Case Competition

For the second year running, a team of Ohio State Master of Health Administration students took the top prize at the annual National Association of Health Services Executives (NAHSE) Everett V. Fox Student Case Competition. The contest charges student teams with applying their creativity, knowledge and experience to analyze a unique case study and present their findings before expert judges, which include leaders in health care, business and academia. 

College announces Dr. Amy Acton Future Leaders of Public Health Scholarship Fund

A new scholarship fund established by grateful citizens across Ohio and beyond in honor of Ohio State public health alumna Dr. Amy Acton ’96 MPH will lift up students who have overcome adversity and aspire to follow in the footsteps of the great public health leaders before them. 

The College of Public Health announced the Dr. Amy Acton Future Leaders of Public Health Scholarship Fund on Sept. 24, the same day that Acton was honored with the Ohio State Alumni Association’s top award.

Passion for public health

For College of Public Health alumnus Jacob Gayle, PhD, MS ’82, home is not an address.

After living abroad on long-term assignments in South Africa, Switzerland and across the Caribbean, Gayle’s home is beyond the scattered plane tickets, moving boxes and suitcases that have frequented his life, but in the family, friends and memories he found around the world.

Public Health Buckeyes make an impression at APHA

The American Public Health Association (APHA) Annual Meeting and Expo hosted more than 10,000 public health practitioners from around the world, including approximately 40 CPH faculty, students, staff and alumni.
