On the Exhale, a play by Martín Zimmerman, will be presented by The Sound Company on Feb. 2-4. In this production, a single mom and professor finds herself living in an America where “concealed carry is the law of the land.” After experiencing a senseless act of violence, she develops a sudden attraction to the very weapon used to perpetrate the crime. Admission to the play and community conversation is FREE to CPH students only. Contact Jennifer Beard (beard [dot] 140osu [dot] edu) for code for free admission.
After each performance, the College of Public Health and The Sound Company will co-sponsor an interactive community conversation. Jennifer Beard, Assistant Dean of Strategic Initiatives, will facilitate a discussion that will invite audiences to more deeply engage with the material, acknowledge shared challenges, and create sustainable solutions.
The STAR Trauma Recovery Center will also be onsite to help audience members process thoughts and feelings that arise in watching the play and participating in the discussion.
