"Stigma and the Opioid Epidemic in Our State," presented by Tia Moretti, LSW, OCPC

Tia Marcel Moretti is a Licensed Social Worker and Ohio Certified Prevention Consultant who has been working in the community based mental health and addiction space since 1998. Tia is the 2014 recipient of the of Columbus Public Health Spirit of Public Health Award. She developed and led the most credentialed alcohol and drug prevention team in the state of Ohio and was responsible for the development and oversight of The Columbus Comprehensive Harm Reduction Program. Tia served as the Public Information Officer for the Franklin County Coroner, there she was responsible for the development and implementation of the Franklin County Opiate Crisis Task Force and Speakers Bureau and chaired the Prevention and Education Subcommittee of the Task Force. She provided planning, speaking, and communication direction to both the 2015 and 2016 Franklin County Opiate Crisis Summits.

Currently Ms. Moretti serves as Director of Statewide Substance Use and Social Services for the Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine. In addition to her role with Attorney General Mike DeWine, Tia operates her own consulting firm where she provides countrywide training, leadership facilitation, strategic planning, and grant writing services. To date, Ms. Moretti has successfully procured over $4 million in grant funds for her clients.
