Ren serves as the Business Intelligence Analyst for both the College of Public Health and the College of Pharmacy. She is responsible for creating reports, analyzing data to support strategic actions, and proposing methods and goals for the improvement of data collection. Ren has been with Ohio State for 7 years, starting with the Arabidopsis Biological Research Center and holding data analysis positions with OSU Advancement then the College of Arts & Sciences. Before joining Ohio State, Ren has provided business intelligence to employers in fields such as pharmaceuticals, commercial real estate, and architecture. She commutes to work by bike all year round and is presently working on opening an Etsy store to sell her pottery creations. Ren earned her BA in biology and environmental studies from Oberlin College in May 1991.
