Joshua Ghosh-Groen, Alex Ochoa receive Student Life Leadership awards

The annual awards celebrate exceptional members of the university community

Two College of Public Health students were recognized for their leadership and commitment to the Ohio State community with awards from The Ohio State University Office of Student Life.

Alex Ochoa ’24 BSPH received the Outstanding Senior Award, which recognizes less than 1% of graduating seniors who excel in leadership, service and scholarship during their tenure at Ohio State. Recipients have contributed to the Buckeye community during their time at Ohio State, overcome challenges and have exciting plans after graduation. 

Rising senior Joshua Ghosh-Groen received the Kaplan Humanitarian Award, presented to a student who reflects an understanding and appreciation for human dignity in their efforts to foster intercultural, international and/or interfaith involvement within the university community.

Ghosh-Groen also received the Community Engaged Leaders Award in recognition of his dedication to community engagement and ethical service work.
