Honors And Accolades

Two members of the College of Public Health community were honored with the college’s annual Excellence in Teaching and Employee of the Year awards.

Hillary Kummer, a lecturer in the Division of Health Services Management and Policy, received multiple nominations for her hard work building content and coursework that prepares students for successful careers.

Among the comments made in the nominations:

Chair and Professor of Biostatistics Kellie Archer and Professor of Biostatistics Bo Lu were recently named 2021 fellows of the American Statistical Association (ASA). Fellows are named each year in recognition of exceptional contributions to statistical science.

The Ohio State University College of Public Health was honored with a 2021 Health Professions Higher Education Excellence in Diversity (HEED) Award for its commitment to advancing diversity and inclusion through initiatives, programs, student recruitment and retention, and hiring practices. It’s the first time the college has received the nationally recognized award.
