Undergraduate level courses are numbered 4000 and below, undergraduate/graduate level courses are numbered 5000, and all graduate level courses are numbered 6000 and higher.

PUBHLTH 6010
Essentials of Public Health

A comprehensive overview of the history and philosophy of public health, and the core principles, concepts and tools used in promoting the health of populations. The course focuses on the breadth of the field and the cross-specialization perspectives on major issues in public health.

Prequisite(s): Enrollment in Master of Science in Public Health (PUBHLTH‐MS) or Doctor of Philosophy in Public Health programs (PUBHLTH‐PH), Doctor of Philosophy in Biostatistics (BIOSTAT-PH), Master of Science in Environmental Sciences (ENVSCI-MS) or Doctor of Philosophy in Environmental Sciences (ENVSCI-PH) or permission of instructor.
