Patrick Schnell, assistant professor of biostatistics, was recognized by the American Statistical Association (ASA) for his top tier 2023 paper on COVID-19 testing.
The paper — “Overcoming Repeated Testing Schedule Bias in Estimates of Disease Prevalence” was selected for the ASA editors’ choice collection, which highlights authors of excellent papers published in ASA-sponsored journals.
Former Ohio State postdoctoral researcher Matthew Wascher ’20 PhD and Professor Grzegorz Rempala were also authors on the paper.
