Gia Barboza-Salerno, HB Franchino-Olsen and Laura Prater received support

Three College of Public Health faculty were awarded seed grant funding from the College of Arts and Sciences Institute for Population Research to support new research projects.
Gia Barboza-Salerno, an assistant professor who has a joint appointment at the College of Social Work, received $25,000 for their project "Spatial Accessibility of Reproductive Health Care Services Following Dobbs v. Jackson Woman’s Health Organization."
HB Franchino-Olsen, faculty fellow in the Division of Health Behavior and Health Promotion, received $40,000 for her project “Patterns of polyvictimization among young children in Ohio: A pilot study to investigate complex violence patterns in the lives of children age six – 11 and their feelings at being included in sensitive research.”
Laura Prater, an assistant professor in the Division of Health Services Management and Policy, received $40,000 for her project “Establishing Pilot Data to Support Community Co-Development of Interventions to Prevent Pregnancy-Associated Firearm Injury and Death.”
