About

GIS Day is an annual event to learn more about geographic information systems (GIS) and to celebrate the power of geospatial data, methods, and technologies for answering research questions and solving real-world problems.

Lightning talk presentations should be 8-10 minutes long and will be organized into multiple sessions throughout the day. We encourage submissions from any discipline and about topics that use geospatial information in any format, including but not limited to: geography, earth sciences, city and regional planning, agriculture and environmental science, engineering, business, public health, digital humanities, GIS for access and opportunity, and GIS education. We especially encourage student presentations, but submissions from any Ohio State affiliate are welcome.
