Our students apply classroom learning in a variety of real-world settings. These include:

These meaningful opportunities are possible because of support and guidance from advisors and faculty who help connect students to a vast network of organizations and opportunities.

Rachel Whisler, a master of public health student, used her applied practice experience to work with the City of Columbus Water First for Thirst campaign. The initiative promotes increased water consumption for health, and Whisler is working to take the message to dental practitioners and their young patients.

"I am really looking forward to making a difference and introducing a dialogue to make healthier choices," said Whisler, also a program manager of community education at Ohio State's College of Dentistry.

These experiences and the education Public Health Buckeyes receive are elevated through:

  • The faculty advisors with whom each student is paired
  • Access to a team of academic advisors and
  • Mentorship from professionals with years of public health experience.

This support helps you discover where you want to make an impact in public health and develop a plan to get there.

At the College of Public Health, your aspirations are important. With an education from Ohio State, you can achieve them.
