Biostatistics PhD student recognized by American Society of Hematology

Justice Ameyi, a biostatistics PhD student, received a merit-based Abstract Achievement Award from the American Society of Hematology (ASH) to support his attendance and presentation at the society’s annual meeting.

Ameyi shared his poster “Accounting for long-term survivors and population-expected survival improves estimation and prediction in older patients with core-binding factor (CBF) Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML)” at the 67th ASH Annual Meeting and Exposition held in Orlando in December.

Ameyi is a graduate research assistant at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute’s Clara D. Bloomfield Center for Leukemia Outcomes Research. He is advised by Professor Kellie Archer.
