Biography
Ce Shang is an associate professor in medical oncology at the Department of Internal Medicine at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. She is a health economist with extensive experience in regulatory science.
Dr. Shang's research focuses on the economic analysis of health behaviors, with an emphasis on how taxes and policies impact substance use and abuse. Her research has been funded by the National Cancer Institute, National Institute on Drug Abuse, National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, Canadian Institutes of Health Research and various foundation awards.

Research interests
Dr. Shang's projects involve using experiments and observational data to estimate consumers' preferences and demand for tobacco, cannabis and alcohol products. Her lab uses a team science approach to provide scientific evidence on policy interventions that promote healthy behaviors and discourage health-compromising behaviors. The team of experts includes multidisciplinary researchers from public health, economics, epidemiology, policy research, behavioral science and computer science and engineering.
