Prater earns multidisciplinary science award

Laura Prater, assistant professor of Health Services Management and Policy, was awarded the multidisciplinary science award from the Research Society for the Prevention of Firearm-Related Harms.

Her presentation titled, "Older adult firearm owners with early signs of cognitive impairment: Decision support tool development" was one of 10 awarded from more than 300. The award acknowledges excellence in research spanning multiple disciplines — for Prater's research, it covered geriatrics, primary care and public health.
