Ark Management 101

Following the success of "How Animal Health Matters in Building a Better World", the Veterinary Public Health Club is excited to introduce Ark Management 101 - a series of five interactive webinars designed for veterinary professionals, animal and public health advocates, and anyone interested in global health and international development.

This professional development webinar series offers a valuable opportunity to advance your career by examining how animal health connects with the social, political, and environmental factors that influence public health worldwide.

This engaging, free-access, webinar series will be hosted by Dr. David Sherman, a veterinarian with extensive experience ranging from clinical practice in the field to high-level policy making at the World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH).

Participants of Ark Management 101 will have the opportunity to:

  • Examine the global drivers influencing veterinary medicine and animal health.
  • Explore international differences in animal keeping and their public health implications.
  • Discuss real-world case studies and challenges in veterinary service delivery.
  • Discover career pathways in international veterinary medicine.
  • Engage in an interactive exchange with Dr. Sherman as he prepares the second edition of his book Tending Animals in the Global Village.

The webinars will take place synchronously online. Start time will be determined based on participants’ preferences.
