Board of Trustees' student trustee position
Each year, the governor of Ohio appoints one student to serve a two-year term on the Board of Trustees.
If you are a currently enrolled graduate or professional student and Ohio resident who will attend Ohio State through at least May 2028, consider applying to serve as the next graduate/professional student member of The Ohio State University Board of Trustees. Applications are due by 12 p.m. (noon) EST on Friday, Jan. 30, 2026. Please submit your application electronically to the Board of Trustees Office at board@osu.edu. Ohio State's current graduate/professional student trustee, Dr. Kendall Buchan, will host several information sessions to help prospective applicants better understand the role and application process. Sessions are scheduled for the following times.
- Tuesday, Jan. 13, from noon-1 p.m. (virtual)
- Wednesday, Jan. 14, from 6-7 p.m. (in-person)
- Thursday, Jan. 15, from 4-5 p.m. (virtual)
