Call for nominations for postdoc funding opportunity
The Ohio State President’s Postdoctoral Scholars Program (PPSP) is currently accepting nominations for candidates to join the 2026-2028 cohort.
Forms of Intent are due Dec. 1, 2025, by 5 p.m.
This program supports the scholarly efforts and training of terminal degree holders (MFA, PhD, and others) who wish to pursue careers in research and creative inquiry. Candidates can come from any scholarly discipline and can be US citizens, permanent residents, or international scholars.
This fellowship opportunity includes up to two years of salary support split between the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs and the PPSP scholar’s faculty mentor, department, and/or sponsor college. Each individual also receives a dedicated $5,000 research stipend each year to support their scholarly and professional development-related expenses.
If you are interested in nominating an eligible candidate to this competition, please review the program website, which includes full details on the eligibility requirements for the candidate and nominating faculty mentor(s), cost breakdown, and all application components. All individuals chosen for the 2026-2028 cohort must be able to start their training between July 1, 2026 and Jan. 4, 2027.
Faculty should share their intention to nominate a candidate with their college’s PPSP liaison (listed in the form of intent) prior to their submission to discuss the required cost share component.
Steps:
- Identify an eligible candidate and discuss your intention to apply with your college liaison.
- Submit a Form of Intent by Dec. 1, 2025, 5 p.m.
- Work with your candidate and any co-mentors to develop the required nomination materials.
- Submit a full nomination packet by Dec. 19, 2025, 5 p.m.
