James Administrative Fellowship 2026 - 2027

The James Administrative Fellowship (JAF) is a one-year program designed to develop future healthcare leaders.


Registration deadline

This fellowship is an immersive one-year program designed to provide comprehensive training and hands-on experience in the skills and responsibilities essential for a leadership role in cancer care and academic medical centers. The program is led by the Associate Executive Director of The James, Marie Webber, and operates in collaboration with the senior leadership team, engaging with administrators and staff at all organizational levels.

Structure of The Fellowship

The program offers a blend of rotations and project-based experiences, enabling fellows to acquire expertise across various facets of our healthcare system. Rotation areas encompass, but are not limited to:

  • Finance
  • Quality & Safety
  • Pharmacy
  • Nursing
  • Surgery
  • Patient Experience
  • Lab
  • Proton Therapy
  • Infusion
  • Radiation Oncology

Fellowship Experience

  • Participation in high-level executive meetings and involvement in missions-oriented projects.
  • Regular one-on-one meetings with your preceptor and other key leaders.
  • Dedicated support for your professional development.
  • Opportunities to rotate through different hospitals and service lines including, shadowing leaders in crucial areas.

  • official graduate school transcript
  • two letters of recommendations (one academic and one professional)
