Spring semester course offering: Qualitative Methods for Health Research
Interested in learning how to use qualitative approaches to conduct studies, evaluate programs, or answer research questions?
PUBHHMP 7686: Qualitative Methods for Health Research covers in-depth interviews, focus groups, participatory action research, and observational methods, and is appropriate for PhD, MS, and MPH students developing expertise in academic or applied research. The semester-long practicum component includes the opportunity to collect, analyze, and interpret your own data. You will also explore mixed-methods design, philosophical issues associated with health sciences research, and learn about inductive vs. deductive modes of research.
This 4-credit course will take place Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30 – 7:20 p.m.
