Biography
Dr. Hufton's research focuses on the influence of natural disasters on health disparities in minoritized populations and immigrants. She joined Ohio State in 2022, and teaches Epidemiology in Public Health (PUBHEPI 2410), Public Health Field Investigation (PUBHEPI 3411) and Methods in Social Epidemiology (PUBHEPI 6442).

Research interests
Recovery strategies of minoritized populations affected by natural disasters; risk factors associated with adverse physical, mental and cognitive health in aging minoritized populations; costs and disparities associated with drowning and submersion injuries.
