Yordanos (JOJO) Beyene was born in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and raised in Logan, Utah. JOJO attended Utah State University and received her undergraduate degree in Sociology and Human Resources Management. Then, she went on to receive her master’s in educational leadership and Policy from the University of Utah.
Since 2011, JOJO has been working closely with low-income, first generation, and minority students and has put her focus on women education. Her cultural background and focus on community collaboration has led her to numerous volunteer opportunities and community leadership roles.
