Mike Mara

Mike Mara is a Columbus native and twice graduate of The Ohio State University, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Spanish in 2005 and a master's degree in foreign language education in 2006. Returning to Ohio State as an instructor in 2012, he has taken on an increasing role in educational technology. Working primarily with the Canvas Learning Management System and its various tools and integrations, his experience with Canvas places him in position to develop clear pathways for faculty to easily share their expertise in an increasingly tech-reliant world of education. This combination of online course delivery, as well as visual and strategic course design, has enabled him to focus on building intuitive UX/UI course experiences at Ohio State. He joined the College of Public Health as an instructional design specialist to continue to share and develop his skills with all things related to tech and andragogy at the university level.
