Weidan Cao is an assistant professor in the Department of Biomedical Informatics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine and courtesy faculty in the Division of Health Behavior and Health Promotion at the College of Public Health. Cao’s research focuses on mHealth apps/intervention engagement, the intended effects and unintended effects of mHealth apps/interventions, the usability and usefulness of mHealth apps for chronic disease management (e.g., cardiovascular diseases, cancer), health information seeking and processing behaviors, doctor-patient communication, and cultural factors in health interventions.
