Four faculty members honored for student mentorship

Four College of Public Health faculty members were honored for student mentorship by The Center for Cancer Mentoring, Education, Leadership, and Oncology-Related Training (CAMELOT).
CAMELOT is a hub for cancer research and education at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute. The faculty were celebrated for their contributions to the Cancer Research Experience for the Advancement and Training of Emerging Scientists (CREATES) program, which enables students to work directly with faculty and researchers to learn more about cancer research.
Associate Professor Megan Roberts received a 5x Mentor Recognition Award and $1,000 to support her lab.
Assistant Professor Ahmad El Hellani, Associate Dean of Academic and Student Affairs and Professor of Epidemiology Amy Ferketich, and Assistant ProfessorJoanne Patterson were also honored for their mentorship to CREATES program students.
