PhD student Ruoyuan Qian recognized as top presenter at statistics symposium

Ruoyuan Qian, a fourth-year PhD student in biostatistics, was recognized with a poster award at the International Chinese Statistical Association (ICSA) Applied Statistics Symposium held in June. Qian was recognized as one of the top four presenters for her poster “A Cautionary Tale: Pitfalls and Fixes for Practitioners Borrowing Historical Controls for Clinical Trials.”

The annual conference for statisticians and researchers was held at the University of Connecticut.
