Honors and accolades

The Whole Person Health Care Champion Award presented by Medical Mutual recognizes a provider of health & wellness services and/or a patient advocate who has helped patients overcome racial, economic, ability, and/or language barriers to care and/or provided radically inclusive LGBTQ+ and/or HIV/AIDS healthcare.

ThePower of Oneaward focuses on the little things someone does each day that has the power to affect a great many people. The individual inspires us with a willingness and ability to help others.

Xiaohan Guo, a student in the Interdisciplinary PhD program in Biostatistics, received a third place prize for his poster presentation, "Variograms for Kriging and Clustering of Spatial Functional Data with Phase Variation," at the Translational Data Analytics Institute 2021 Fall Forum.

Second-year Master of Health Administration students Gil Durand, Jasmine Reid and Eric Sette won first place of 43 teams at the National Association of Health Services Executives (NAHSE) Everett V. Fox Student Case Competition.

Division of Biostatistics faculty members Eben Kenah, associate professor, and Grzegorz Rempala, professor, received the Faculty Mentor of the Year Award from Ohio State’s Office of Postdoctoral Affairs for their exceptional mentoring of postdoctoral scholars.
