The College of Public Health received reaccreditation from the Council on Education for Public Health, an organization that assures quality in public health education and training to advance the science and work in the field.

This accreditation, which runs through 2032, is a “testament to the high standards we hold for ourselves as we educate the next generation of public health and health care leaders,” said Dean Paula Song.

Amy Ferketich, associate dean of academic and student affairs, led the college’s reaccreditation process — a multi-year effort that required enthusiasm, organization and collaboration.

The core accreditation team included Rebecca Andridge, associate dean for undergraduate studies; Misti Crane, director of strategic communications and marketing; Aram Dobalian, associate dean of graduate studies; Kynthia Droesch, senior director of the Office of Academic Programs and Student Services; Abby Norris Turner, associate dean for faculty; Todd Thobe, director of student services; and Lisa Van Dyke, business intelligence analyst.

“Thank you to all who contributed to this effort in ways big and small,” Song said. “The work you do lifts up our students, advances public health science and contributes to the health and well-being of the communities we serve.”
