Scholarships
The William O. Cleverley Scholarship Program
Named after Ohio State emeritus professor and health care leader William O. Cleverley, this scholarship is designed to attract the best and brightest students to Ohio State — students who will graduate ready to improve health care through effective organization, finance and delivery. This scholarship supports deserving students who will be the practitioners, managers and leaders of tomorrow. Created by the Health Services Management and Policy Alumni Society, the Cleverley Scholarship is typically awarded at the time of admission to one student per year who has exceptional qualifications and potential. Students cannot apply for this scholarship.
Division scholarships
Through the generous support of our Health Services Management and Policy alumni, the program has a limited number of one- or two-year scholarships — up to $5,000 — offered to our highest potential applicants.
Other scholarship opportunities
Ohio State and the College of Public Health offer an array of scholarships and support for your education. Learn more about the financial aid opportunities available to Ohio State students.
Student job opportunities
Many MHA students obtain part-time jobs in the health administration field, benefiting them financially and professionally. The Division of Health Services Management and Policy can assist students in identifying opportunities.
Graduate associates
Each year, some of our students receive financial support through graduate associate positions to support research, teaching and administrative needs of graduate programs. These positions provide full tuition benefits and cover instructional and general fees.
Students receiving an associate position work 20 hours a week and are paid a monthly stipend. These opportunities supplement the academic curriculum with practical experience and should not interfere with progress completing your graduate degree. The MHA program recommends select exceptional students for a limited number of graduate assistantships. There are also university-based graduate assistantships that students pursue independently.
