Research expertise

Our faculty have diverse research expertise across environmental public health, including infectious disease risk assessment, toxicology and epigenetics, water and wastewater surveillance, environmental epidemiology, air quality surveillance and more. Curriculum

The doctoral program combines foundational coursework in environmental sciences with specialized learning in environmental public health, including biostatistics, epidemiology, environmental microbiology, toxicology and risk assessment.

Program requirements

  • Minimum credit hours: 81
  • Prerequisites: Bachelor's degree in natural, physical or social sciences; minimum 3.0 GPA; coursework in calculus and/or statistics, physical sciences and biological sciences
  • GRE scores are optional
  • TOEFL/IELTS/Duolingo scores for international students: See minimum scores
  • Program start: Autumn semester
