
Combined BSPH/MPH degree program
The combined Bachelor of Science in Public Health (BSPH) and Master of Public Health program is an option for undergraduate students with outstanding academic records to earn two degrees in less time than pursuing them separately.
Students in the program begin graduate-level coursework during the fourth year of the program. Nine credit hours in the combined program meet the requirements of both the BSPH and MPH degrees.

Eligibility requirements
Students interested in the combine program should stay in close consultation with their academic advisor as soon as they are interested , but no later than the end of autumn semester of their third year. Before applying, students must meet the following requirements:
- Be admitted to the BSPH major
- Meet with an CPH academic advisor at least one year prior to applying to complete a pre-application
- Complete at least 90 undergraduate credit hours and earn a 3.5 cumulative GPA
- Meet all the requirements of the Graduate school for the combined degree program

There is no preferential treatment for graduate admission for current Ohio State BSPH students. They apply, and are admitted, to graduate study through the standard graduate admission criteria and processes.
Graduate courses may only be taken after you are admitted and enrolled in a combined BSPH-MPH program. Students must first apply for, be admitted to and enroll in a combined BSPH-MPH program before they can apply any graduate-level course credit.
Once enrolled in a combined BSPH-MPH program, students become a graduate student in addition to remaining an undergraduate student.
Students will have two GPAs – one for undergraduate and one for graduate. Students are subject to academic standards at both levels.
Students admitted into the combined program have multiple benefits. They can earn undergraduate and graduate degrees in less time than pursuing them separately, nine credit hours of graduate-level courses overlap with BSPH requirements and tuition for graduate courses taken during the combined fourth year (22-24 credit hours) are set at undergraduate tuition rates.
