College of Public Health launches online Executive MHA

Program tailored to health care leaders

MHA alum Elizabeth Seely, chief administrative officer for the Ohio State Health System's Hospital Division, speaks to a group of people at a leadership summit.

Building on the No. 5 best MHA program in the United States, the College of Public Health is expanding its reach with the new online Executive Master of Health Administration.

The degree provides seasoned health care professionals with the strategic expertise and business acumen required to lead at the highest levels of a growing health care industry.

The Executive MHA focuses on mastering the complexities of health systems, policy, organizational management and public health. Students can complete the 45-credit hour degree in as few as 18 months.

Debra Zevallos, clinical associate professor, will lead the 100% online master’s degree. She is an experienced and accomplished leader in health administration and higher education. Zevallos brings more than 20 years of operational health care experience, a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and is board-certified in health care management.

“This is an exciting time to launch a fully online executive track to our nationally ranked MHA program,” Zevallos said. “We’re expanding access thoughtfully, strengthening the leadership pipeline and building a valuable degree that reflects the realities of today’s health care workforce.”
