Diversity, Equity and Inclusive Excellence
We believe diversity is excellence. We are dedicated to fostering a sense of community and belonging for all. We strive to promote diversity and equity in our teaching, in our research and in our service, and to be a model of inclusive excellence. Our Diversity, Equity and Inclusive Excellence Committee — which includes faculty, staff and student members — cultivates opportunities for the college community to join together to learn and take action to advance our shared values.
Excellence in Diversity
The College of Public Health has been recognized with the Higher Education Excellence in Diversity Award for four consecutive years by Insight Into Diversity, the country’s oldest and largest diversity-focused publication in higher education.

Each academic year, the Diversity, Equity and Inclusive Excellence Committee organizes and shares opportunities to learn about different communities, and offers professional development experiences to promote inclusivity. Our signature series, Public Health Connects, highlights cultures and communities throughout central Ohio and offers a platform for sharing ideas about how to improve health and well-being.
Community of Inclusion
The College of Public Health Community of Inclusion is a hub to encourage learning and growth among our community. Here, students, faculty and staff will find opportunities to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of the world beyond our individual perspectives.

DEIE Committee
A volunteer group of CPH staff, faculty and student representatives make up the college's Diversity, Equity and Inclusive Excellence Committee. They promote an inclusive culture and provides opportunities for the college community to develop greater understanding and value of diverse people and ideas to deepen commitment to our shared values.
