Applied Practice Experience

The Marketing and Communications Intern position is a remote position with the flexibility to determine your schedule (with approval), around 15 hours a week. In this role, you will develop a social media plan for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and LinkedIn. A social media plan includes a content schedule, posting timeline, content creation, and performance monitoring culminating in a report analyzing content performance with recommendations for social media approach. Additionally, you'll help identify media partners and a media relations plan. Other duties related to communications and marketing may be assigned. This position reports to the Executive Director.

Student should have strong oral and written communication skills and be able to work independently. Student must have good organization and planning skills along with the ability to multitask and prioritize objectives to meet deadlines. Position requires a strong understanding of social media, a spirit of curiosity, and creativity. Experience with tools like Canva, Google, Excel, etc. desired but not required.
