OPEN Hiring Graduate Research Assistant

The Ohio Policy Evaluation Network (OPEN) seeks a Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) from The Ohio State University for its research projects.

The GRA will work primarily with Ohio State faculty who are leading individual research projects. In some cases, they may also work with collaborating faculty at other OPEN-affiliated institutions. Successful candidates will embrace all the joys and complications of collaborating on interdisciplinary, policyrelevant research. They will also be comfortable interacting with people from diverse backgrounds, including patients and health care providers, and be able to engage professionally with research subjects who hold opinions or undertake actions with which they personally disagree.

The GRA must be (or become) trained in the ethical principles of human subjects research (using the CITI curriculum) and Ohio State’s Responsible Conduct of Research training; follow OPEN project protocols, including those for handling sensitive data and project security; and adhere to the OPEN Charter.

The GRA will devote 20 hours/week to OPEN throughout the Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 semesters, with optional extension into the Summer 2025 term by mutual agreement.

The complete position description, including duties, minimum qualification and application requirements are available on Workday.
