Opportunities for CPH Students

The following are job, volunteer, training and other opportunities that may interested College of Public Health students. They include opportunities within the college, Ohio State and external organizations. 

The undergraduate advisors will be holding drop-ins via Zoom the first week of the SP25 semester.

The CEESP program provides funding to graduate public health students of up to $7,200 for summer research in U.S. minority or global settings. 

This new course offering will involve a combination of instructor lecture followed by student presentations and critical discussion of research papers that represent classic and recent advances in Cystic Fibrosis (CF) pathophysiology/pathobiology.

Buckeye Pen Pals connects OSU students with alumni mentors in their career fields, creating meaningful relationships and providing valuable resources.

Ohio State is seeking nominations of scholars, practitioners and graduate students for the 2025 University Outreach and Engagement Awards, which honor faculty, staff and students for outstanding achievement in producing engaged scholarship and community impact.

PUBHEHS 7375: Quantitative Microbial Risk Analysis is a risk course developed to support a methods section or chapter of culminating reports and thesis writing.

The College of Public Health will hold a 3-Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition in January, 2025. 

To support and promote high-impact engaged scholarship, the Office of Outreach and Engagement has instituted a process to certify programs of excellence in engaged scholarship.

The Daughter Sister Mother Project team is seeking two to three graduate or undergraduate students to assist with a literature review starting spring 2025. This role will focus on breast cancer risk among cisgender men and transgender and gender expansive people. This position will be remote.

C3-REACH (Committed to Communities Collaborative: Research and Engagement to Advance Beyond COVID to Health Equity) seeks 3-4 graduate or undergraduate students for qualitative data analysis research project beginning spring 2025.

The Udall Foundation awards 60 scholarships to sophomores and juniors pursuing careers related to the environment and to Native American students planning careers in tribal policy or tribal health care. 

Two outreach worker positions within the Tobacco Prevention and Control Program are available.

The LSI Project offers a paid summer internship experience for current undergraduate juniors, seniors, and recent graduates to engage in innovative public health research.
