Remembering Judith Schwartzbaum

It is with deep sadness that the College of Public Health shares news of the passing of recently retired faculty member Judith Schwartzbaum.

“Dr. Judith A. Schwartzbaum was indeed a talented, beautiful and inspirational friend and colleague, and a treasure to those who knew her,” said longtime colleague and collaborator Randall Harris, professor of epidemiology.

Wing, Snow honored with 2023 teaching, employee of the year awards

Two members of the College of Public Health community were honored with the college’s annual Excellence in Teaching and Employee of the Year awards.

Jeffrey Wing, assistant professor of epidemiology, was nominated by multiple students and applauded for his dedication to motivating students, celebrating their successes, and recognizing their strengths and abilities.

MHA Challenge: Class of 1999 earns top spot

In the first-ever friendly faceoff between Master of Health Administration (MHA) graduating classes, the Class of ’99 took home top honors.

The MHA class challenge kicked off on Oct. 20 at the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Cleverley Fellowship, which supports a standout student in the Division of Health Services Management and Policy each year. The challenge was the official start of a new campaign aimed at raising $2 million to support the MHA program and its students and faculty.
