The Community Health Specialist- Project DAWN Intern contributes to opiate harm reduction efforts through community education, assisting with naloxone distribution in a variety of settings, and developing campaigns to promote harm reduction. This position will work with and support the Project DAWN Coordinator in their work
with local communities and stakeholders in increasing naloxone distribution and harm reduction education.

Duties Include:
• Assist with naloxone distribution events. 
• Assist in identifying organizations, geographic locations, populations to expand naloxone distribution. 
• Assist in developing campaigns to promote harm reduction. 
• Assist in writing, editing, and collecting documentation to assure full compliance with grant. 
• Preparing naloxone kits for distribution. 
• Other duties as assigned.

This position is unpaid. 

• Must be currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in public health, health,
public administration, healthcare, substance abuse, mental health, or related fields.
• Must possess a valid driver's license; some evening
and weekend hours required.
• Must be comfortable reaching out to community partners via email or telephone.
• Must be able to work in person.
