Job description

The Delaware Public Health District seeks an intern to work with the Project DAWN project in the Community Health Division. The Project DAWN intern contributes to opiate harm reduction efforts through community education, assisting with naloxone distribution in a variety of settings, and developing campaigns to promote harm reduction. This position will be 10-20 hours per week from May – September 2024. Salary is $16.55 per hour.
Examples Of Duties:
-Assist with naloxone distribution events.
-Assist in identifying organizations, geographic locations, and populations to expand naloxone distribution.
-Assist in developing campaigns to promote harm reduction.
-Assist in writing, editing, and collecting documentation to assure full compliance with the grant.
-Preparing naloxone kits for distribution.
-Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Looking for those currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in public health, health, public administration, healthcare, substance abuse, mental health, or related fields.
